Description: Learn the basics & different techniques of the beautiful art of silk painting. 

You will:

• Design your painting from an idea you have, or you may use a pattern from my collection.
• Learn how to stretch your silk on a frame.
• Paint with silk paints, learning to blend and use a variety of techniques, becoming immersed in the process.
• Complete a painting ready to mount at the end of class and heat set it, so the paints are permanent in the silk.
• Love the flow and movement of the paints on silk and especially love the vibrant colors you can create.
  

Materials list to bring to class:

• Hair dryer 
• Watercolor or Sumi paint brushes
• Palette
• Please note, the above materials are recommended for students, however all materials are available at the studio. 
  

Sill Level: 

• Beginner
• Novice
• Intermediate
• All students must be 18+ years old
• Class materials may be hot
